Hi there! 👋 We’re Milindu and Malinthi — a Sri Lankan couple now living, loving, and exploring from our base in Singapore.
We met the traditional way, through our parents, but it didn’t take long before we truly connected and fell in love. Our bond grew stronger with every conversation, and in June 2023, we tied the knot and began this beautiful chapter together.
This blog is our little corner of the internet to share the many stories we’ve been writing together. Whether it’s our sunrise selfies, quirky travel moments, or the fridge magnets we obsessively collect, every entry is a piece of us. We’re here to document our travels, our love, the cultures we explore, and everything in between.
Milindu
I’m a Lead Senior Software Engineer at a health tech company, a proud techie with a love for good food and long, slow travel days. I moved to Singapore in the middle of the pandemic, and life changed in many ways from that point. When I’m not deep in code, you’ll probably find me searching for the best local eats, planning our next trip, or helping build this very blog.
Malinthi
I’m a photographer at heart, with a background in Cybersecurity and a passion for arts, history, and tie-dye batik. I joined Milindu in Singapore after our wedding, and ever since, we’ve been exploring life and learning together. I’m currently taking time to study online and pursue creative things while we travel.
What We Love Together
We’ve already wandered through Thailand, where we soaked in the turquoise waters of Krabi, explored the vibrant streets of Bangkok, and relaxed along the shores of Phuket.
In Vietnam, we wandered through the charming chaos of Hanoi and cruised through the breathtaking limestone cliffs of Ha Long Bay.
Malaysia gifted us the colourful blend of cultures in Johor, the street food haven of Penang, and the misty beauty of the Cameron Highlands.
In Indonesia, we explored the lesser-known charm of Medan and tasted some of the most unforgettable local dishes.
One sunrise at a time, we’re discovering how much there is to see, taste, and feel in this world. Along the way, we’ve made it a mission to try every local snack we can find and pick up a fridge magnet from every place we visit.
What’s Next
We’re dreaming of visiting all the ASEAN countries, maybe even launching a small business together, and learning a few local languages along the way. This blog is both a digital travelogue and a keepsake, a reminder that life’s best memories are made side by side.
